KVH CREWlink™ ConnectTwo™
With KVH’s CREWlink ConnectTwo service, customers have the option to offer their crew or charter passengers a dedicated data channel separate from the operational SATCOM channel, but operating through the same VSAT terminal. In addition, each dedicated data channel can also be assigned a separate billing plan for easy service administration and cost management. CREWlink ConnectTwo also offers the flexibility to configure each of the two independent channels on the forward link (shore-to-ship) each with their own performance characteristics such as data rate, monthly data allowance, etc., as defined by each channel’s assigned billing plan. The mini-VSAT Broadband℠ terminal then shares the return link (ship-to-shore) with both channels and will prioritize your choice of channel on the return link to ensure optimal performance.

KVH OneCare Global Support Program
Broadband connectivity at sea represents a vital investment in your maritime operation. KVH OneCare Global Support is a comprehensive array of service offerings, all designed to leverage your investment in our satellite network technology to its fullest. KVH OneCare spans the entire lifecycle of your mini-VSAT Broadband solution, from design and selection of the best possible solution, to the smooth implementation of that solution, and post-deployment services and support to maximize long-term performance.

IP-MobileCast Service – for Unmatched Content at Sea
Utilizing advanced multicasting technology, KVH’s IP-MobileCast content delivery service is the most economical and reliable way to bring movies, sports, world news, and news from home to crew members, and also meet vessel operational needs with chart delivers, weather information, and more. TracPhone V7-IP’s ICM belowdecks unit serves as the hub for receiving IP-MobileCast services on subscribing vessels; content can then be accessed by any onboard computer, set top box, or personal devices.

Iridium Pilot Optional Backup
Available for active mini-VSAT Broadband accounts, Iridium Pilot can be added as a secondary system providing pole-to-pole global coverage for data and voice. The Iridium Pilot hardware must be purchased in addition to selecting an Iridium OpenPort airtime plan. With Iridium Pilot onboard and interfaced with V7-IP for least cost routing, the vessel’s LAN and Wi-Fi networks will automatically switch from TracPhone V7-IP/mini-VSAT Broadband service to Iridium Pilot/Iridium OpenPort service when needed. See details in “Iridium Pilot Optional Backup System for TracPhone V-IP Series (pdf).”

KVH TracPhone v7-IP

$26,995.00Price
  • Enterprise-grade Ku-band VSAT Antenna
The TracPhone V7-IP is a breakthrough maritime satellite communications product designed for the broadband era and its requirements for onboard networking. Developed by KVH specifically for the industry-leading mini-VSAT Broadband network, TracPhone V7-IP uses a 60 cm-diameter antenna dish, in a 66 cm-diameter antenna unit. The 3-axis gyro-stabilized maritime VSAT antenna with a 4th axis of automatic skew adjustment boasts an extended elevation range of -24° to 119° ensuring that the antenna tracks satellites directly above the vessel to low on the horizon.

    ArcLight® Technology
KVH’s mini-VSAT Broadband network takes a revolutionary approach to maritime satellite communications to maximize data and voice throughput while preventing interference to adjacent satellites. The network is based on ViaSat’s ArcLight Code Reuse Multiple Access (CRMA) spread spectrum technology, which significantly reduces contention issues, transmission delays, and offers more consistent speeds and shorter ping times resulting in faster web page loads compared to traditional Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) technology relied upon by other VSAT networks.

    Integrated CommBox Modem (ICM)
TracPhone V7-IP’s streamlined belowdecks unit includes an IP-enabled antenna control unit, built-in CommBox Network Manager, ArcLight spread spectrum modem, VoIP, Ethernet switch, and Wi-Fi capabilities all in one 2U box for faster, trouble-free installations and user experience.

    IP-MobileCast Content Delivery Service
KVH’s IP-MobileCast service delivers large files, including electronic charts, weather forecasts, training videos, news, sports, IPTV, IP-radio, and premium movies. IP-MobileCast uses proprietary software that provides advanced error correction, compression, and validation of data integrity throughout the transmission from shore to ship for unparalleled reliability and efficiency. Shoreside servers encode files for transmission and queue them for multicast delivery “over the top” of the mini-VSAT Broadband network. The IP-MobileCast service’s patented Forward Error Correction (FEC) technology ensures that the CommBox servers on ships receive each file in perfect condition the first time it is transmitted. The unique FEC algorithms deliver the highest level of reliability by accommodating intermittent non-continuous transmission, which might happen when large transmissions are interrupted by prioritized network traffic or in very poor weather conditions.

mini-VSAT Broadband 2.0 – Complete Maritime Communications Solution
